Introducing a brand new pop-up food experience: Après Ski at Rendezvous in Margate

Launching in early December 2021, 80s-styled Après Ski will bring mountain-side fun to Margate through to February 2022.

The Swiss dish Raclette sees melted cheese satisfyingly scrapped off to smother savoury options, the also Swiss Fondue dish is a dipper's delight and Tartiflette, from France, is a delicious dish boasting potatoes, lardons, onions and more.

“They’ve fully embraced the 80’s Après Ski theme, complete with shell suit aprons, neon napkins and 80’s hits on loop. They’ve also captured the ski chalet feel through faux animal hides and antlers mounted on the walls for a warm and welcoming atmosphere”

All of the dishes are designed to be shared at the table for a cosy, communal vibe that celebrates sharing your food with friends or family.

To wash down your cheesy dish of choice, pick from seasonal takes on retro cocktails, mulled wines, ciders and toddies and much more. And if Fondue isn’t enough fun, test your aim and take part in the Beer Pong contests!

In order to get things right, Rendezvous have enlisted support from top chef, Jim Thomlinson. Being no stranger to pop-ups, Jim most recently launched The Shell Garage in Folkstone and Merman at the George and Heart in Margate.

He is now consulting with the family-run Bistro and TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award winners for 2021, Rendezvous to launch a new 80’s themed Alpine ski bar pop-up.

To date Rendezvous in Margate has been a firm favourite with those looking for a hearty breakfast or light lunch. Après Ski at Rendezvous will be open for lunch and dinner makes the perfect place for those looking to enjoy something a bit different from an evening in Margate.
