Something for everyone at Kebbells, Broadstairs
The focus is on bringing people together over fresh seasonal food
When it comes to dining out, finding somewhere that keeps everyone around the table happy can sometimes be easier said than done.
At Kebbells Seafood Bar & Restaurant in Broadstairs (@kebbells_broadstairs ), the focus is on bringing people together over fresh seasonal food with a menu that caters for seafood lovers, meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike, all while being gluten-free, too.
Set back from the High Street while overlooking Viking Bay, Kebbells is renowned for its seafood, with Mediterranean influences running throughout a menu designed for sharing. Our visit perfectly showcased the breadth of the menu.
The vegetarian dishes were every bit as memorable as the seafood, from the smoky BBQ tenderstem broccoli with satay, crushed peanuts and pickled chilli to the beautifully roasted aubergine, courgettes, fennel & chickpea panisse with tomatoes, olives and confit garlic. The Padron peppers, finished simply with lemon and Maldon salt, made the perfect dish to share.
Seafood lovers are equally well served, with the tuna tartare bringing together Asian dressing, sesame, ponzu and crisp Thai crackers, while the wild seabass ceviche paired delicate fish with Asian cucumber, avocado purée and a seaweed cracker.
The pork & chorizo croquettes rounded off our meal beautifully, crisp on the outside and packed with rich flavour, complemented by smoky romesco and shavings of Manchego.
It’s this combination of quality ingredients, creative cooking and an inclusive menu that makes Kebbells a standout dining destination on the Kent coast, whatever your taste or dietary preference.
