After an extended soft launch over the warmer months, Margate Beach Club has evolved from its weekend-only nightclub roots into a vibrant, all-season venue where afternoons blend effortlessly into evenings - complete with signature cocktails, live cabaret and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
It introduced a ‘winter warmers’ menu of hot chocolates, mulled wine and cider and warm spritzes to sit alongside a programme of events that stretches right through the forthcoming festive season.
Tucked away on Albert Terrace, with sweeping views over Margate Sands, the club has fast become known for its incredible sunsets, but it’s proving that the good times don’t have to end when summer does. Inside, the space has taken on a clubhouse feel, with rich textures, soft lighting and eclectic art. The new cosy lobby lounge offers the perfect daytime escape to work, unwind or enjoy a coffee while gazing out to sea. The club is a genuinely fully inclusive spot for locals and visitors alike and dogs are allowed into the club during daytime hours to enjoy the space with you.
A new addition to the team is Charlie Bushell, who has joined the team from The Sundeck, Margate, whilst they are closed for the winter months. Charlie brings the summer beach club vibes to the venue. “I like to help create positive memories for people,” says Charlie “and as operations manager, I’m excited to help the MBC team do this for its customers.”
That’s exactly what the space delivers, a relaxed, friendly energy with a touch of seaside glamour.
The club’s Cabaret Lounge opened its ‘secret’ door in September, adding sparkle to Margate’s scene with Night Creatures, a monthly show produced by Amber Topaz and featuring local talent such as Ash Mukherjee (aka Asha Fierce). Expect other shows to include high-energy performances with burlesque, boylesque, drag, comedy, circus and everything in between.
Behind the bar, the new autumn/winter signature cocktail menu showcases the best of local produce, with Harlot English sparkling wine, beers from Northdown Brewery and small-batch spirits from Sussex-based Custom Spirits Co.
Light bites are now offered by the club such as cheese and/or charcuterie boards, while you can also order from local restaurants straight to your table.
As the festive season approaches, the team are rolling out a full calendar of winter events, themed nights and Christmas specials. Whether you’re here for a private hire event, cabaret, cocktails or just a cosy sunset spritz or hot chocolate, Margate Beach Club proves it’s not just for summer, it’s your all-year seaside escape.
