FOLKESTONE HARBOUR ARM LAUNCHES SUMMER POP-UP ZONE
A constantly-rotating community of independent street-food traders and pop-up bars
For the past three years, Folkestone Harbour Arm has been making major investments to create new, unique, large-scale establishments and experiences, from iconic breakfast and brunch location Sailbox and a bistro-style restaurant extension to the iconic Lighthouse Champagne Bar (The Tasting Rooms) to social shuffleboard and darts venue The Board Room and even, most recently, the UK’s largest beach spa in collaboration with Sea Scrub Sauna.
Not only have these new spaces and places increased the variety of offers available to visitors but these large developments have also completely flipped Folkestone Harbour Arm’s identity, gradually transforming from summer-focused seaside destination to now becoming a firm favourite for foodies all year round.
But for summer 2026, Folkestone Harbour Arm is shaking things up, returning to its roots and creating a major new opportunity for the small-scale pop-up street-food visionaries that helped shape The Harbour Arm in its earliest days.
For weekends and bank holidays this summer, the heart of the Harbour Arm, the historic structure stretching out into the English Channel, will be transformed into a constantly-rotating community of independent street-food traders and pop-up bars, bringing fresh energy and new flavours to an ever-changing seafront.
Visitors can expect a changing line-up of up to five pop-up traders each weekend and on Bank Holidays, plus extra weekday trading during the height of summer. Every visit will feel different, with exciting new concepts sitting alongside much-loved Harbour Arm favourites, including the return of Pork & Co, who will be back by popular demand.
Some well known faces set to bring their creativity to The Harbour Arm this Summer include:
Seafood small plates from Crabworks based in Whistable
Wood-fired, Asain-inspired meats and bao buns from Outlaw Streetfood, usually found at The Drapers Arms in Canterbury
A residency all summer long for the much loved Reynolds Ice Cream
California-style tacos and hench burritos from West Hythe-hailing T’s Tacos and much more to be announced
Alongside this, the Harbour Arm’s free programme of live music will anchor the space, with acts taking to the stage at least four times every weekend and even more in high summer and public holidays. Think of this new zone like a street-food festival, slightly different each weekend, all summer long.
“For foodies, Folkestone Harbour Arm is going to have a real sense of discovery this summer”, says Paulo Kingston-Correia, general manager at Folkestone Harbour Arm.
