So this happened!
Three little pigs went to market and brought home an award and some new friends…Firstly ‘cene would like to thank all those who attended and judged the Kent Press & Broadcast Awards, you welcomed us, you gave us free drinks and you gave us the Magazine Design of the Year Award. Not bad for a magazine that would be “gone by the second issue”, eh?
So onto the next instalment. Like Bruce Willis’s Die Hard franchise, I think the third one is the arguably the best one (I’m predicting this statement will cause some arguments). Autumn is upon us! But the summer period has been incredible in Kent this year.
We have experienced so many festivals, some new, some old and some bonkers. First, there was By The Sea festival which welcomed those irrepressible punks Slaves to Dreamland.
We went backstage to meet Issac and Laurie to talk county loyalties as they continue to lead the way for Kent bands (page 12).
Let’s also indulge in what was a fantastic Margate Soul Festival. Once the rain had headed back to Scotland, the beach and the bars were packed and we caught up with the man behind the festival, Eli Thompson (page 44).
We converse with London Fashion Week starlet Billie Jacobina about her latest collection (page 18).
There is also a man with Adidas on his mind, a graffiti artist who likes Pot Noodles, a juggler who specialises in knives, a tapas chef who traded in Ibiza for Whitstable and plenty of other shenanigans that only Kent is daring to do.
Now don’t just flick through the immaculate pages, read it. I guarantee you will learn something you didn’t already know.
