In this issue we get back to normal… sort of. We go cult classic not best seller with Pavement Licker, Sports Team gets nominated, grow mushrooms at Edible Kingdom, build statues with Billy Childish, find funny in Dont Walk Walk, go it alone at Wolfie's, eat chocolate and drink gin... so fairly similar to Lockdown then.

HELLO : A NOTE FROM OUR EDITOR
Working in the media for what is essentially an entertainment magazine, you can sometimes have a wobble. During the height of the pandemic, seeing the levels of dedication that NHS and all frontline staff went to in their efforts to save lives and keep the public safe was humbling. Standing outside your door and clapping to show a little appreciation gets you thinking how important to society you really are.
It wasn’t until we created the three Recovered digital editions that I realised just how important it is to have a little network of support around you. We can give ourselves a socially distanced pat on the back for handing out 150 free advertising spaces to local businesses, but actually it was the smaller things that mattered, like the check-ups from people to see how each of us was getting on.
It’s then that you realise that each small local business, no matter what they do, is important to the fabric of community.
We will strive to continue to support those who are doing great things, and those who deserve the support. Right so, because lockdown has felt longer than a 500-mile round trip to Barnard Castle without your glasses on, there’s so much to catch up on.
In this edition, we talk to the Mercury Music Prize-nominated Sports Team, grow mushrooms with the Edible Kingdom, go it alone with Wolfie, talk statues with living cult hero Billy Childish, talk bathtime with Lauren Carroll, discover the best street food in Kent.
Enjoy.
Joe.
