Return of the culture vultures
Three little pigs went to market and realised it was time to grow up. With the first anniversary of the magazine upon us, it’s surely the era to start queueing for stuff and commenting on the weather. F*ck that. Give us some neon shots; we want to be sick and tell Wayne the barman that we really respect him as a human.
We have gone full circle and it has been a wild ride. In 12 months our eyes have been opened. What we now know about Kent and the things we have discovered has both inspired us and made us complete arts addicts. We are hooked on the creative and the brave, sticking fingers up at the economic panic buzzards. Keep making music, designing clothes, pouring heart and soul onto the canvas and the plate… we will find you. We have learned that if you support local, it will support you right back.
We have also learned never to wear a blowup turkey costume to a pub frequented by Barry from EastEnders; it doesn’t go down well.
But, more importantly, we also have some insider info on what is coming this year, and it is going to be huge! In this issue, we are kicking off the live season with an introduction to the 2018 City Sound Project in Canterbury, the Wheels & Fins Festival in Broadstairs and the Caring Is Creepy Festival in Cliftonville.
We have a man who draws mad doodles for a living, a snowboarder trying to mash up the Paralympics, a mad house filled with naked men, fish and Elvis memorabilia and loads more.
Get stuck in.
