FOLKESTONE HARBOUR ARM
Where do we start? Since its launch in 2015, the list of independent street food traders operating from Folkestone’s trendy harbour arm (@fstonehbourarm) has grown considerably.
To name just a few feels like we’re doing a disservice to all the others as they’re all equally brilliant. A few examples are the much-loved big Greek bus (@thebiggreekbus), Burrito Bouy (@burrito_buoy) bringing big helpings of flavoursome West Coast USA-style Mexican deliciousness, and tasty bagels from Bobbie’s Bakehouse (@bobbiesbakehouse).
So get yourself down there and check out the rest of the awesomeness which has made it one of the county’s most popular hotspots for the street food army.
SILVER BIRCH FINE FOODS/FLOC BREWING, CANTERBURY
A new collaboration between Silver Birch Fine Foods (@silverbirchfinefoods) and Floc. Brewing (@flocbrewing) has seen a vibrant new addition to the food scene in Canterbury.
Based at Wincheap Industrial Estate, at the new Floc. Brewing Taproom (@flocbrewingtaproom), Anthony Birch is serving up his undeniably delicious street food, with unique flavour-filled fusions from BBQ beef kofta to Ponzu pulled pork and chill lime corn.
OLD KENT MARKET, MARGATE
Pop into the Old Kent Market (@oldkentmarketreal) to give your tastebuds a treat. Not only is it unique and quirky, it has a selection of different street food favourites.
There’s the Greek Kitchen (@thegreekkitchenmargate) offering up all the crowd pleasers, while the Mamma Mia Pizzeria (@mammamiapizzeriamargate) dishes up the three ps of authentic Italian - pizza, puccia and pasta.
Master Foody Moody (@masterfoodymoodys) offers plant-based, clean, green, living foods.
You’ll also find Burrito Box (@the_burrito_box) and Karan’s Indian Curry serving up some flavoursome delights.
We could list them all but a better idea is to pop in and see for yourself.
FOODIES FESTIVAL, MAIDSTONE
Mote Park is set to play host to a celebration of top chefs, street food, delicious drinks and live music at the Foodies Festival from June 24-26.
It’s not exclusively street food but you’ll get to watch MasterChef champions and local chefs at work, while tasting food from around the world, sampling new flavours and trying a selection of wines, champagnes and cocktails.
