JEMIMASARA OPENS NEW SHOP AND STUDIO IN RAMSGATE

Artist opened her new studio and shop to the public in July

Multidisciplinary artist JEMIMASARA has opened her new studio and shop to the public at 72 High Street, Ramsgate.

Known for incorporating everyday life and mental health into her practice and artwork JEMIMASARA (@jemimasara) will be offering a range of limited edition prints, accessories, stationary, greetings and clothing whilst working and having her artwork on display within the studio.

“I am so excited to open my studio in Ramsgate, welcoming the community, friends, collectors and my dedicated consumer base to a space that will not only be a shop, but also a creative art studio,” says the artist.

“Since starting my pratice in 2017, I have had a couple of studio/shops in London, and after moving down to Ramsgate in lockdown last year, I thought it was time to try something new but it was difficult to find somewhere that allowed me to have the right mix of art studio and retail – this space is the perfect place to start.

“Ramsgate seems like the ideal place to be right now, not only because it is right around the corner from Margate, which has quickly risen as one of the most prominent art and creative locations in the UK. Home to the Turner Contemporary, one of the UK’s leading galleries, Carl Freedman Gallery and more.

“Ramsgate is quickly becoming a cultural hub, with a wealth of creative residents, a blossoming arts scene and rich history."

“I’m over the moon to have opened my doors to Ramsgate, Thanet and to be apart of it’s ever growing community”

The space is located on 72 High Street, Ramsgate.

The artist's contemporary work, installations, commissions, products and collaborations have been exhibited in galleries, shops and public areas across the world. With collaborations ranging from perfume to women celebrating women.

Her creative output has earned her clients such as Anthropologie, Terry De Havilland, Wolf and Badger and more. As well as often being featured in publications including The Evening Standard, GQ and Marie Claire amongst others.
