A new immersive cinema experience is coming to Ashford next year promising to give cinema-goers the ride of their life with moving seats, spraying water and wind machines.

Cineworld bosses have confirmed that customers will be able to experience films in IMAX and 4DX at the Eureka venue, which is currently undergoing a huge refurbishment expected to be completed in spring next year.

A company spokesman says they are thrilled to be expanding the venue which will offer an extreme sensory experience, with stimulating effects and moving seats.

The site will also have IMAX, meaning a bigger screen with “stunning clarity”, stadium-style seating and an integrated sound and speaker system giving “heart-pounding” audio.

“As well as this, we will have a brand new Starbucks where guests can pick up their favourite drinks and snacks,” adds the Cineworld spokesman.

“We expect the renovations to be completed in 2022 and we look forward to welcoming guests to try out the new offerings.”

Cineworld has been rolling out IMAX and 4DX at its sites across the UK since 2015 with the Ashford venue due to be the first to offer the immersive-style viewing in Kent.
