Sleeping under the stars is something that everyone has to experience at some point and now the new Hotel Lush in Canterbury is offering that chance, without the need for a tent or sleeping bag.
While astronomy fans can make use of the on-hand telescope to star gaze from their bed, others can make use of the nearby hot tub.
Formerly the Kipps Hostel in Nunnery Fields, the building has now been fully decked out with 10 themed rooms and run as a self-check-in service.
The stylish new hotel has been created by Kyle and Soriah Dawson, the couple behind Kent AirBnB-led business The Gem House Ltd.
Kyle said: “When we took on this building in August 2019, we had a vision to create a boutique self-check-in hotel with unique and quirky features. We foresaw that with the pandemic, there would be heavy restrictions, self isolation and travel restrictions, so we wanted to create an AirBnB-style hotel which guests can completely self-check-in but have a unique and enjoyable experience. We wanted the hotel to be different from the norm.
“Domestic short stays are now at an all time high, so we always aim to push the boundaries of the short stay experience.”
The hotel has also been created to service events such as intimate weddings, stays, hens and corporate getaways. With all the unique experiences it’s suited for people that would like to rent the entire hotel as a whole, also.
The Sleeping Bubble Experience
With your own private decking area, equipped with a hot tub and all the facilities of a hotel, guests get to explore the glamping experience in a city location and having a luxury feel. You also get a projector in the bubble and a telescope. Great for experiencing something new.
The Nook Cabin
An intimate experience, the Nook Cabin is half cabin and half located in the hotel. Guests get their own bathroom and the cabin is equipped with gas heater and a comfy kingsize bed, as well as a private garden area equipped with a hot tub.
The Jungle Suite
A unique gold and black themed jungle room is truly unique space to get away as a couple or family.

The Beach Suite
A unique room where you can sunbath with real sunlight technology, part of the room has sand with loungers and a unique theme of the Caribbean touches with a cabana bed. (Available April 2021)
The Cave Suite
The room is heavily themed as a modern day cave, equipped with an in-room courtyard and hot tub. Great for guests that want to explore something unique. (Available April 2021)

The Penthouse Suite
This room is the most premium and has an open plan space but zoned also if families want to book. Equipped with a stand-alone bath in the room and a large bathroom, lounge area where you can order a waffle, coffee or toaster with with friends, family or clients.
There is also have a small self-isolation work-out room with top of the range Peloton classes and running machine and multi-gym equipment. (Available April 2021)
