TEDxFolkestone returns in February 2021

TEDxFolkestone is about to embark on its 4th event after three successful years that has seen them deliver 33 thought-provoking talks and five engaging performances that have received almost 1,400,000 views from all over the world and counting!

For the next event on 27th February 2021, the theme is ‘A New Horizon’.

The team are more than happy for all applications to have their own take on this theme, but here are some things to think about to help with your application:

  • What is just over the horizon – and how will we react? 

  • What are we yet to fully see or understand, but we could know is coming – and how do we embrace it? 

  • What new areas do we have the opportunity to explore – and how do we make the most of them? 

  • What current or old methods need to be rethought – and what should replace them?  

However, irrespective of how you interpret this theme, selection is based on the strength of the idea. Is your idea new or surprising? Does it challenge a belief many people already have or do you have a completely new take on an idea that people need to hear?
