Wünderbar Wünder Harbour returns - Oktoberfest Folkestone
Fun-filled weekends blending the best of Bavarian tradition with the unique charm of Folkestone Harbour
Get ready for a taste of Bavaria in Folkestone as the Wünder Harbour Festival returns for its third year. This vibrant twist on the traditional Bavarian festival is coming back to The Goods Yard (@folkestoneharbour ) for three weekends of fun, food and foot-stomping music.
Every Saturday and Sunday, from 20th September to 5th October, from 11am-8pm, the harbour will be buzzing with Bavarian spirit. The highlight of each Saturday is the arrival of The Bettesteiner Footstompers at 1pm. This authentic oompah band will be performing all the classics from Munich, so get your singing voices ready for some lively sing-alongs and games. More live music will fill the air throughout both weekends, creating a festive atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Foodies, you’re in for a treat! Your favourite Goods Yard traders will not only be serving up their usual delicious street-food and drinks but some themed specials, too, while they’ll be joined by some special Bavarian pop-ups. You can look forward to sinking your teeth into a traditional Bratwurst, sipping from a huge stein at the stein bar and enjoying a German doner. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the flavours of Bavaria without leaving the Kent coast.
To truly embrace the spirit of the festival, everyone is encouraged to don their best Lederhosen and Dirndl. Whether you’re a seasoned attendee or new to the festivities, this is a fantastic excuse to dress up and sing along over three Bavarian Weekenders.
