Heritage Sprint returns to Betteshanger Park, Deal
Classic sprint racing, rare machinery and club displays
The Heritage Sprint returns for its fifth year with a packed weekend for riders, restorers, collectors and classic-bike devotees. Set in the former colliery at Betteshanger Park, the event combines close-up paddock access, proper sprint-track action and a huge spread of machines to study, photograph and talk over.
On track, some 150 classic and custom bikes will contest the sprint course, while another 250 motorcycles line up in displays from collectors, clubs and private owners. Demonstration runs on track include drag bikes, superbikes, racing outfits and a rare Vincent-engined race car. The Vintage Motorcycle Club will bring a selection of classic British machines for visitors to try on a dedicated course. There’s also some hands-on green-lane riding instruction available courtesy of Phoenix Training. Expect quality trade stands, strong food and drink options and live music on Saturday evening.
Families are well catered for, with youth trial bike demonstrations and adventure activities designed for children and young people. Camping facilities are available so visitors can settle in and make the most of the festivities. Children under 16 attend free of charge, making the Heritage Sprint an ideal day out for enthusiasts of all ages.
Adam Limbrey, event director, commented: “The Heritage Sprint is way more than just racing - it’s a celebration of two-wheeled culture, bringing the community together in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. All our racer slots sold out in under a week, so we must be doing something right!”
Tickets are now available, with discounts for early bookings.
