Editor’s Note:

Themes of reconnection arose very quickly and constantly in this issue – whether it was with an individual, a community, the past or even just thoughts and feelings.

In this edition we rediscover the traditions and rituals of UK folk with artist Ben Edge. Elsewhere, musician Will Varley talks to us about milestones and playing minigolf with Billy Bragg, Gravesend artist Elle Tennyson on her koi carp safety net and working with bleach and UB40 legend Ali Campbell speaks about the legacy of reggae ahead of his visit to Dreamland.

Our featured photographer is Ukrainian Taras Bychko, who captures the feelings of enforced displacement, while we also have Kent Women’s Cricket captain Megan Belt on her day job and Rochester musician Lo Lauren on putting some glitz into pop.

Enjoy,

Joe / Editor
