Pockets, shipwrecks and moving to MArgate for a bet
Open one eye – where is the pain? Open both eyes. There is the pain. I’m never drinking again. Until tomorrow. Celebrating ‘cene magazine’s two year birthday is a milestone that some thought we might not reach – but here we are.
It has been a roller-coaster ride of full-on festivals, mind-bending music, spicy sauces, fearless fashion and committed consumption of the county’s best booze. We can’t thank you enough for the support we have received, and we vow to continue bringing you the creative characters, funky features and in-your-face initiatives making Kent the place it has become.
Right, that’s the mushy bit done. Spring has sprung and the party has begun. There is so much happening in the next quarter, I don’t even know where to start. Firstly, a big thumbs-up to illustrator and street-artist extraordinaire Greg Stobbs, a.k.a. SquirlArt, who designed our Ode to Kent front cover. We love it.
Daaaaahn to Margate, we meet the psychsynth-pop duo known as Thandii, who are snapped in utilitarian clothing brand WerkHaus – it’s all about the pockets.
Off into the wilderness, YouTube star Mr Kent Survival talks about experiencing the great outdoors and getting shipwrecked - in Medway!
Style Space guru Siobhan Maroney heads to Sevenoaks to meet fashion brand Amelia Jane.
Our sexy centrefold sees the return of the CSP In The Park festival, while the boys at Time & Tide brewery get spontaneous about bugs. There’s loads more, but I’m running out of room…
