HARRY GARDNER - OBLIVIOUS

Instagram & Facebook: @harrygardenermusic

Produced by Patrick J Pearson (Dan D’Lion), 'Oblivious' combines indie, pop and jazz-fused sensibilities in order the create a sound that is utterly charming and brimming with colour.

Harry Gardner explains that 'Oblivious' was written at a cathartic moment in his life, when he realised he was totally over a toxic relationship, and his feeling of freedom is reflected in the effortless listening experience the track delivers. His colloquial vocal tones have a Libertines-esq rawness about them, but the funky melody delivers an upbeat experience. We cannot wait to hear more. Fresh!

OBNMAGIK - YOU SEE ME NOW

Instagram & Facebook : @obnmagik

Ashford rapper OBNMAGIK has dropped his skills onto GRM DAILY this week, with new track ‘You see me now’ already bagging up more than 32k views.

And when you hear it, you will know why.

Describing his sound as having Afro Swing rap and hip hop elements, OBNMAGIK says: “My music always has a deeper meaning. Everything I cannot describe in person, I say it in my music. ‘You see me now’ was a song I wrote during lockdown. This song means a lot to me. I felt like people were watching me, including friends and family. People just want to watch how you are getting on with you life.”

A controlled aggressive flow is accompanied by a thumping crescendo of a hook that will bob heads every single time the chorus hits. We see you now OBNMAGIK. Charged!

JUDE NESS - WHITE HORSES

Instagram: @judeness.official

Canterbury’s Jude Ness has demonstrated a range of sounds with his early tracks ‘Estate’ and ‘Cold Highs’, but new release ‘White Horses’ is the best of the lot.

There are rough-cut Punk vocal elements perfectly entwined with the energetic bass guitar and infectious drum beat of Beastie Boys-style hip hop.

A compulsive track that has been on repeat all day, the lyrical context is based in realism - doubt, frustration and anxiety of what could happen. The production feels raw but flawless - not easy to do. Execution.

POLLENA - GLITTER

Instagram: @pollena_ldn

Having already been picked out by the great and good of the BBC for her previous track ‘The Pool’, Southborough’s Pollena has returned with ‘Glitter’.

A song that offers a vignette into the artist’s spectacular woozy vocals, ‘Glitter’ has built an audio bridge between experimental sounds and unimpaired pop. As beautifully arranged as it is filled with intriguing narrative, “Glitter’ is an exciting precursor of Pollena’s future releases. Vibrant!
