Masters puts his development of style down to a “ lifetime of doodling”, which has expressed itself in his recent work, combining illustration and photography - initially drawing over holiday photos.
Using this technique, ELL85 has collaborated with travel photographer Chio Fernández and UK clothing brand Hobo Jack.
He aims to take scenes of everyday life, and inject them with humour, developing a main theme that on closer inspection reveals more details underneath.

His illustrative work has also led him to work with Creative Thrds, the San Diego, California-based clothing company, which commissioned him to draw two illustrations featuring items of their clothing for promo and social media use.
