LUNATRAKTORS
‘16,000 Miles’ is an unorthodox yet immersive record to tune into. There is a fantastical intrigue to the track, as the band delve through an introspective storytelling approach throughout the song. The instrumentation on this track is fairly industrial, yet glorious - this intertwined with the excellent ad-libs and floating vocals around the main portions of the track allow ‘16,000 Miles’ to be a sensational record to listen to.
Zones
‘Gintu’ is a new track from Kent rapper Zones, who is making waves in Kent. Throughout this track, Zones delivers one of the most captivating and unceasing flows that I’ve heard in recent memory. The ever-lasting rhyme schemes and impactful bars shown on ‘Gintu’ has really opened my eyes to just how much of an impressive and talented lyricist Zones is. Real potential.
Martha Eve
‘Disposable Girl’ is a serene and tranquil track to kick back and relax to. It really caught me off-guard with a vocal talent that centres you into an undisturbed and composed place. It’s one of those slow ballads that you can tune into anytime, and anyplace. Perfect soundtrack to tune into to manage the stresses of another national lockdown, ‘Disposable Girl’ is an essential for your playlists.
Holly Henderson
‘Loneliness’ is the new track from the extremely talented Holly Henderson. Straight off the bat, there’s some immaculate vibes to enjoy. The intertwining of beautiful vocals and smooth indie / alternative production is a sound to behold. Holly has the capacity to exert so much emotion in her voice, and her songwriting is out-of-this-world too! Check out ‘Loneliness’; an absolute essential for this week!
IAMAQ
‘Cloud 22’ kicks off in relaxing fashion, with a “vaporwave” 80s atmosphere surrounding it. The synths on show are poetic and create a perfect ambience as the current of vocals wash in. The chorus is addictive, making this track super accessible for anyone to enjoy! A downtempo, pop masterpiece. ‘Cloud 22’ by IAMAQ is one to check out!
APatternImperfect
‘Entrance’ epitomises the beauty of Indie Rock. We kick off the record in the midst of melancholic guitar chords. As the track progresses, we get to see some awesome moments of vocal tandem, where APatternImperfect and Pandora’s Diary join in unison to create unmatched emotion. Music that has a plethora of emotive context embedded, is music that stands out from the pack, and ‘Entrance’ is the perfect example of that.
