Rising star of the “Swampy Rock” scene, Kim Logan has released her new single “Dirty Business” ahead of the launch of her brand new album “Shadow Work”… and we can’t wait to hear more.

US native, Logan has made Kent a home away from home alongside her band The Silhouettes, having crafted her new album at the Cherry Tone Studios in Folkestone - the brainchild of local legends Andrew McGuinness and Andy Thomas.

Released on Logan’s own label - Swamp Thing Records - the gritty vocals and distorted guitars heard on “Dirty Business” have become signature to the artist’s sound, with bluesy influences and epic solos making hers a very recognisable tune.

When it comes to production expertise, Logan is in fine company. "Dirty Business," just like the rest of the album, was mixed by Michael Fahey at Sputnik Sound (The Raconteurs, Clutch, Seasick Steve, the Sheepdogs), and Dan Bacigalupi at Infrasonic Sound (The White Stripes, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson), both in Nashville, Tennessee.

Logan says: “Shadow Work, my second LP, is coming February 21. The boys and I have been workin’ hard to bring you the gold, y’all... it’s been a long wait and it’s almost over. Composed of very new songs, and re-recordings of ones you know from the years since my first LP, The Silhouettes and i have made something very heavy and very special, and we can’t wait to share it. I’m stoked!”

Up-beat, with driving drums and addictive lyrics, Logan sings: “I’ve got to get away from the dirty business”, but if the single is a precursor of what is to come in the album, then her stint in this business is just beginning.
