OLBY'S SOUL CAFE develops digital creative hub

Margate venue creates recording studio with flexible space

Since conception in 2013, Olby’s Community Interest Company has been forging forward with it’s vision and aims to establish long term community led events for Thanet including the annual Margate Soul Festival and a number of others.

Now in their redeveloped home, located at Studio One 4 Fort Hill, Margate CT9 1HD (formerly The Dug Out) Olby’s has created Studio One - a new multifunctional self-contained space.

The development project, supported by Olby's, Arts Council England & Cherry Tone Studios, includes the installation of green screen video, digtial audio recording and hot desk facilities with flexibility to be used for rehearsal, production, streaming or performance. They will be developing a series of in-house workshops and trainee courses linked to real outcomes through their year-round festival programme.
