New Music: Margate's Sarasara brings hypnotic linguistics to KeepItKent playlist
‘Tinkertoy’ duet with Peter Doherty stand-out track on new ORGONE Album
A morning browse through the new music originating on the Kent coast has led Team’cene to Margate artist Sarasara… and we are so happy it did.
Not only is Sarasara currently out on tour across the Far East, USA and Europe, but her second album ORGONE is about to be released in July.
Signed to One Little Indian Records, alongside the likes of Bjork and a number of other British and international artists, Sarasara has created an album that takes from a multiple of genres.
ORGONE has been produced in collaboration with renowned London-based record producer Liam Howe - of Sneaker Pimps fame -who has had much success producing the likes of Lana Del Rey, Marina and the Diamonds and Tom Vek.
Sarasara, who was born in France, has already had some success with her debut album Amor Fati getting her featured in The Guardian’s Future 50 rising music stars.
Her work has been likened to Björk and Aphex Twin, with its trip-hop etherial sounds.
In ORGONE, Sarasara has created an amazing piece of work, with tracks such as ‘Blood Brothers’ and ‘Into Me See’ getting a lot of love on Spotify, but it is her duet with The Libertines’ (and Margate’s) Peter Doherty really grabbing attention.
And so, we have added it to our Spotify #KeepitKent Playlist as our #Choonoftheday.
