Axel Jansson and his band will be giving a one-off performance at The Alexander Centre in Preston Street to kick off the Faversham Hop Festival on Friday 30th August.

Axel, described as 'an enviable pop-rock songwriter’ by Songwriting Magazine spent much of last summer touring the festivals including two appearances at Glastonbury.

Organised by two Faversham businesses - Saxon Shore Estate Agents and Creekside Vinyl – the gig will help raise funds for three local charities, The Faversham Creek Trust, Faversham Community Christmas Lights and the bereavement charity, Holding On Letting Go.

"Liz Jeffery, who runs Saxon Shore with her brother Richard, says: "We are very proud to support a number of local charities and we sincerely hope Axel Jansson's gig will raise a great deal of money for some very worthwhile causes. Saxon Shore is a Faversham family business and it was a family connection that helped Axel agree to perform - Richard's son Harry appears in Axel's latest music video."

Simon Tyler who owns Creekside Vinyl says: "It means a lot to me that Creekside Vinyl is able to play a role in the Hop Festival which celebrates music and also the amazing town which is Faversham. So, we're delighted to be working with Saxon Shore to bring this very talented artist to Faversham for everyone to hear and enjoy."

Tickets cost £6 and are available on Facebook and Eventbrite.
