NEW MUSIC: Aphrah releases 'Another Night'
Canterbury based artist works with an all female team to produce new track
Canterbury artist Aphrah has released her etherial new track ‘Another Night’.
Soul-filled vocals lead a soft piano and resonating beat to create a single that really offers a very addictive sequence of lyrics.
“I don’t wanna do this anymore, I don’t wanna fee like this at all. I don’t wanna hide away and cry for another night.”
The key line from the new track has a haunting an emotive message of frustration and anxiety; it is so subtle but so effective. I challenge anyone to listen to the track and not be mouthing along by the final chorus.
The track has amazing traits of suspense, like waiting for the drop in Ibiza anthem; and it manages to hold you there, right the way through, until its own break down with heavier drums and clashes. We love it.
Created by an all-female team, Aphrah's third single was co-written with Kimberly Anne - also known as Margate’s LANTA (Connor Maynard, The Vamps) - and produced by Rhiannon Mair (Lanta, Bryde) at Palm Bay Music in Ramsgate.
Aphrah has also worked with Jack Gourlay (Tom Odell, Caitlyn Scarlett, Rhodes) and Steve Brown, who produced Rumer's million selling debut album Seasons of my Soul & Laura Mvula's debut Sing to the Moon which was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
