Reframing Our Eco-Conscience

They say that the act of learning is a lifelong process. And if the back end of 2021 has taught us anything, it is that we have only really just scratched the surface in understanding the planet that we currently inhabit.
COP26 brought home a lot of (but probably not enough) truths that the human race really needs to face up to. But before you think we are about to get proper preachy, we aren’t. We are only just discovering how each of us affects the environment.
It’s a pretty important subject. And it’s happening in our back gardens. Look at Kent’s own issues with pollution and Southern Water – but, never fear, Bob Geldof has lent his support to the Don’t Pay Your Bills campaign… Course he has.
We aren’t eco experts, but we know that change needs to happen. We are working with the World Land Trust to ensure the magazine is printed on carbon balanced, responsibly sourced paper using biodegradable inks. In this issue we have looked to talk to people already making a positive change in the county and beyond.
