Skytrek launches in Kent

The fourth visitor attraction, Skytrek, opens at Hangloose Adventure Bluewater

A fourth visitor attraction, Skytrek, has opened at Hangloose Adventure Bluewater.

The new attraction joins the 46 metre-drop Giant Swing, Europe’s biggest, and the UK’s only outdoor skydiving machine which both opened last year, along with Skywire, England’s longest zip wire, which opened in 2021.

Visitors will be suspended over 15 meters in the air overlooking Bluewater’s chalk cliffs, before conquering more than 40 treetop obstacles across two levels on the 350-metre course.

The family-friendly attraction will give guests a unique high ropes experience, with part of the course including walkways over one of the lakes at Bluewater, with other daredevils enjoying attractions above and below them. The 40 obstacles will test balance, alongside challenging participants’ mental and physical strength, against the breath-taking backdrop of the award-winning parkland.

Brooklyn Skeete, from Hangloose Bluewater, said: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our fourth activity in just two years. Our dedicated construction team has worked tirelessly to ensure that everything is completed in time for the upcoming school holidays.

“This new addition will offer Bluewater’s visitors more adventure and provide even more exciting experiences for everyone. We’re looking forward to seeing the public join us to experience the excitement firsthand.”

James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, said: “Just in time for the school holidays, we are delighted to unveil another must-see attraction at Hangloose Bluewater.

“Our aerial trekking course adds another adrenalin-fuelled fun activity here at Bluewater and we’re looking forward to attracting even more visitors and tourists from across the UK and internationally.”
